A fresh update for property research
On 16 October 2026, Italy’s OMI quotations for the first half of the year became available. Compiled by the Revenue Agency’s Real Estate Market Observatory, they cover sale and rental values for several property types.
Users can search by semester, province, municipality, zone and intended use, including through a map. For buyers looking in Puglia or elsewhere in Italy, this provides an official starting point for comparing locations.
What the figures do—and do not—show
The quotations are per-square-metre ranges for territorial zones and property types. They can help buyers compare areas and identify questions to investigate during negotiations.
They are not the exact price of a particular home or a forecast of its future value. Condition, precise location, floor, ancillary spaces and other features can affect an individual property’s assessment.
A practical method for buyers
Search for the municipality and OMI zone nearest the property, then choose the relevant property type and intended use. Compare the published range with the asking price and note any differences to discuss with the agent or a local professional.
For a rural home, a renovation project or a property with an outbuilding, check carefully that the selected OMI category is genuinely comparable. A broad zone or a different property type can make the comparison misleading.
From data to a decision
Use the quotations as a screening tool: they can help compare locations and prepare questions, but they do not replace an inspection, document review or individual valuation.
Before making an offer, seek an assessment based on the property’s actual features and condition. Consult the relevant professionals for legal, tax or notarial decisions.
